How can I better position my website?
Despite what some may say to the contrary, those who truly understand positioning and SEO know that a website's content is the determining factor in achieving a good position in Google rankings. I've decided to create a simple (straight to the point) tutorial on how to rank on Google, and I'll share some secrets discovered by the SEO community currently worldwide.
I'll prove to you that SEO is simple, and here are the things you need to achieve very good rankings:
FIRST RULE
The first rule before starting SEO on your website is: "MAKE SURE YOUR SITE HAS NO DUPLICATE CONTENT." Duplicate content is content that is copied from other websites. Google has an algorithm called "Panda," which is designed to detect all websites using copied content and will apply a penalty that, in most cases, affects 70-99% of the site's ranking. So, this is one of the most important reasons why a site may not rank well.
Having a lot of duplicate content on your site means an even greater penalty. A greater penalty means that ranking your keywords on Google will be severely limited. So, folks, make sure to check if your site has duplicate content using copyscape.com.
Make sure that on your own sites, you do not use any copied content (text) from other websites on the internet. The content penalty will be applied in the same way, even if both sites are owned by you, so make sure you have no duplicate content.
BUILD BACKLINKS!
Make sure to conduct SEO campaigns (Building Backlinks) for each page of your site. Never create backlinks only for the homepage or just for some pages of your site, as it will appear to the "eyes of Google" that it wasn't very natural.
WORD COUNT...
Let's say you start an SEO campaign for the keyword "Orchid Cultivation." Ensure that your page contains the keyword "Orchid Cultivation" in the page title and in an h1 heading. Here's an example of a good title: "Read the Ultimate Guide - Free Orchid Cultivation" (the keyword should exist in the title phrase). Also, make sure the keyword "Orchid Cultivation" appears in the content page around 2-3 times. However, avoid overusing the keyword throughout the text, as this can give your site a poor image to Google's algorithm, appearing unnatural. Each content page (article) should have around 500-700 words (if possible, make it longer), as the more content your article has, the more relevant it will be to Google.
PAGE RANK (HIGH)
Make sure that the backlinks created for your site are coming from pages with a high "PAGE RANK." Most sites that use low-quality links are no longer being ranked on Google (they lost their positions), so there's no reason for you to spam your site.
Summarizing:
Never use duplicate content, use generic keywords at least 70% of the time, create backlinks for all your site pages, and don't forget to use the keyword in the title and h1 of the page and 2-3 times in the page content.
If you managed to understand all of this, you will surely be able to rank your site on the first page of Google and achieve great financial returns.
These are the most important Google algorithms today, and you should all be aware of them. Any updates regarding SEO and website positioning, we will update this POST and keep you informed.
Until next time...
